It goes without saying that we are a bit obsessed with Mac and Apple products here at the INDATA Project. Our touch mouse is just one of the many inventions we have discovered we cannot live without; however, for those of you in love with PCs, have no fear, you too can experience the fun of a navigation tool powered by touch.

Microsoft recently added the Touch Mouse to its product line. Working the best with Windows7, the new Touch Mouse provides users with an innovative way to navigate the web, click on links and view pages. (If you are using a PC that operates with Vista or XP, before you purchase this mouse understand that the only function that will work on the mouse is the center scrolling option.)

The mouse follows the natural curve of your hand, making the redesigned critter comfortable and easy to use. Much like Apple’s version, Microsoft’s Touch Mouse employs different functions depending on how many fingers you use.

For example, using one finger you can click, scroll up and down the page or pan. With two fingers you can snap (alternate views between multiple screens) or maximize/minimize a page. With three fingers you can show open windows or reveal your desktop.

The Touch Mouse comes with all the necessary accessories for set up. Included in the box are two AA batteries, a USB receiver and a USB extension cord. Bluetooth is not a connectivity option with this mouse.

Setting up shop is quick and easy. Simply plug the mouse into your computer and download the necessary software. It should only take a matter of seconds.
Priced at about $80, the mouse is definitely an investment. However, Microsoft promises the mouse will “help you get more done in less time.”
