Gizmo’s Freeware website provides information for individuals to gain access to 64 sites that offer free audio books. These websites allow users to download or listen to books online free of charge.
Audio books are useful for individuals with disabilities to listen to a book at their own pace. Talking books, or audio books, were created for blind individuals to gain information as they cannot see to read. Today, audio books are used for many different ways, most commonly used for travelers and busy individuals.

This is a good idea; while it may help deaf children, it may be not good for healthy children. For the reason that they may get too used to having the choice of listening to an audio book rather than reading a real book for themselves.
